HANS BROUWER
DIRECTOR
Hans was born and spent his early years in Hong Kong before High School in Switzerland. With the aid of prestigious scholarships, he studied architecture in Switzerland and at the University of Southern California where he graduated top of class.
His formative career was spent with the internationally renowned architect Sir Norman Foster, latterly as a Project Director. Over a period of eight years, he was involved with and responsible for a number of world-class buildings including Century Tower in Tokyo, Japan and the Commerzbank Headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany. Hans also led teams in high profile design competitions.
Hans founded HB Design in Hong Kong in 1995 following his return to Asia. He re-located the office to Singapore in 1998 and regional offices were established in Phuket in 2003 and in Bangkok in 2007.
Hans has worked on a wide variety of award and prize-winning projects and serves as an Adjunct Senior Fellow at the National University of Singapore, where he teaches design to senior year students. He has been a keynote speaker at industry conferences and had numerous articles published.
Hans is a Registered Architect in Singapore and provides the design lead for HB Design
